This and that... :)

This sweet ole dresser used to sit just inside my front door. This is the only pic I could find before I made the switcheroo:) I work fast I tell ya!

I got this uh mazing desk that had my name aaaall over it at Domestic Bliss before it.... sadly closed
:( sniff sniff... And I'm not kidding when I say that not 5 minutes after it was delivered, it was all set up and open for business:)

See, my computer usually sat up in my craft room, but I wasn't ever happy up there doing my important computer stuff, you know, like pinterest and blogging:) It works sooo much better here! I feel like I'm not in time out anymore! Doooon't worry, (because I know you are) the sweet ole green dresser found a home in the back bedroom:)

Today's my bday:)

So I bought me some flowers:) I'm going to make a fab dinner and have my babies and my mama over. And mom's bringing me a lemon pie:) Happy Birthday to me!! :)

What I'm wearing... :)

Ok. So I LOVE me some makeup. A lot. I mean come on! Remember this post where I outed myself and my MAC eyeshadow addiction? Well things haven't changed:) I'm always on hunt for fresh new pretties:) Enter Revlon... Lip Butter on the left and Colorburst lip gloss on the right:)

The lip butter. It's just that. Butter:) It's like a tinted really moisturizing chapstick/lipstick. I bought the Berry Smoothie color and it's the perfect pink but not too pink color. The Colorburst lipgloss I bought 004 color. Sorry, my old lady eyes couldn't read the tiny print on the bottom:( Anyway, this lipgloss is sheer and shimmery and the perfect companion to a smokey eye:)
I found both at Target for $6.49

Lip Butter

Colorburst Lip Gloss

Hi my name is Dorie and I'm addicted to mascara. I don't go a day without it. It completes me:) I read about this one and had to give it a try. Of course I did! AND.........

I LOVE it. It's a little pricey, ok a lot o bit pricey but worth it. It dries fast and stays put. All day:)
You can find it at Sephora for $22.

Yes, this is me. My sis and I take pics of what we wore to work and send them to each other. She has to dress for a more corporate invironment and I can pretty much wear whatever I want:) Just one of the perks of having your own business:) Soooo, the other day we thought it would be fun to start up a blog where ladies can send in their pics of what they wore to work. Because what woman doesn't wake up and ask themselves the same question- What am I going to wear today???

So check it out! And feel free to send in your pics! My sis always takes her pic in her office bathroom, hilarious!!

Yes, I'm a house stalker.... :)

So as you all know, the hubby and I spent a wonderful weekend at our sweet little place in Dana Point, CA:) I thought I'd give you a little glimpse into what kinds of crrrrazy stuff we do:) ok, I'm sooo kidding. We do the same thing EVERY time we're there. It starts with a trip to Starby's for some lattes then we do our stalker drive bys and check out our favorite houses:) This time I took my camera along:)

I love this house. So crispy white, and I love the garage doors:)

Ok, this house is enormous. Like it takes up 2 lots. Love the color and all that white trim:)

This house is brand new. Again, so crisp. It's a bluff house so I'm sure the views are amazing:)

I L-O-V-E this house!! It's my second fav:) oh yes, there's a cuter one that steals my heart:)

I love the deck on this house:) and check out the creepy Amittyville Horror house windows on that house in the back! GEEET OUUUUT!!! So I did.

And here she is. Numero uno. First Place. Blue Ribbon. My fav house ever. I love absolutely everything about this beauty:)

I reeeally want this cutest house. Look at the chippy white paint on those dormers:) And it's so tiny and adorable. Like a mini cupcake:)

After driving around and feasting on all that eye candy, I came home and put the ole Whirley Pop to use:) It's popcorn old school. I love hearing the sound of that sizzling oil, and then cranking that little handle until the last little kernel is popped.

Then butter. Real butter. Lots of real butter.

I hardly ever drink soda, but my son was at the house last and left this little gem in the fridge for me. Perf combination:) And Mad Men. Oh my. My sister gave me seasons 1,2 and 3 forever ago and I just now started to watch them. Like it was a Mad Men Marathon all weekend:) That show left me wanting to drink whisky and smoke, and wear tight sweaters.... :)

And there you have it. Oh the exciting life I lead... :)

The high's and low's... :)

Just thought I'd share with you a few of the highs and lows of this past week:)
High- A date with my sweetheart at my fav restaurant House of Tricks:) Ordered the Pork belly appetizer and oooooh my, it was FANTASTIC:)
Low- The Pork belly hurt my belly:( I don't eat much pork, but I must say tummy ache or not it was worth it:)

High- My gal pal Kristin and I made a commitment to get in some yoga a few times a week. And by commitment I mean we invested in our own mats! And by invested, I mean some serious $'s!! We were using the ones at the class before:( Sooo much better putting your face on a mat with only your sweat on it! We get our yoganess on at the cutest place called Inside the Bungalow:) It's awesome. Like reeeally awesome:) And I can walk there!! Namaste:)

Low- Realizing I'll never be Carrie (she teaches at the Bungalow). Dayum that looks cool:) A girl can dream right...?

High- Yessss. These fab new shoes for spring:) Tahari- TJ Maxx.

Low- Never. Say. Never. I caved. Yep, bought these:) Oh come on! They're burlap! And supposedly comfy? We'll see how much play they get....

High- Listening to your Little Bully when he begs to get in your bed to snuggle:)
Low- Not realizing your Little Bully is sicky and he barfs all over your bed:(

And since I want to finish here on a high note-

I get to spend the upcoming weekend with my hubby and kiddies at our sweet little cottage in
 Dana Point:) Can't wait!
