It means dining OUTSIDE and eating yummy stews like this one. I made this Rachael Ray recipe last night with some delish cornbread. It was breezy and wonderful out so we ate on the front porch. I couldn't quit smiling :)
It means curling up with a good book just before bedtime. Like this one. Could. Not. Put. It. Down. I finished it in 3 days. My sis and my hubby had read it before me and they thought they were so cool having their own little book club and trying to speak in code. Psh. So I had to read it, and oh boy was it GOOD. Check it out, you won't be disappointed :)
I am reading 'Little Bee' and I'm absolutely loving it. City of Thieves was probably my favorite book of the year. Definitely check that one out too. Also, local author Kelli Donley published a book in August that was fantastic! It is called Under the Same Moon and is available on Amazon and at Changing Hands. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYum! I am in the mood for stew as well. We have been having so much rain. I am reading "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society". It is warm, funny, and very thought provoking. It is a novel made up of letters, telegrams, and courier notes between the main character and others in the story. You'll get to know some pretty sweet, folksy people as well as learn some history from WWII.
ReplyDeleteI'm on the third of the Stieg Larsson trilogy. The first one is called "The girl with the dragon tatoo." It takes exactly sixty pages of the first book to get rollin but after that it makes your laundry pile up and your children go hungry:) Just got back from Costco with the the third one and I'm wondering what I'm doing on the computer, I gotta go !!!!!
