Bravery is being the only one who knows you're afraid. ~Franklin P. Jones
Sooo my weekend in DP was a little hotter than I wanted it to be:( stinkin heatwave! they need to stay in Arizona where people are prepared and have this thing called AIR CONDITIONING!! Anyway, while I was there I witnessed some people doing things that conjured up one word- Brave.
I cut 10 inches off my hair.
Juuuuust kidding!! I was coloring the greys that I'm not brave enough to show in public, when this girl came in and chopped off her beloved hair to donate to Locks of Love. It was truly amazing.
Brave.
When we got to DP, it was already getting dark so I didn't know what my very eccentric neighbor had been up to. Until I woke up. And saw this. Yes, he painted the trunk of his tree.....
to match his garage doors. I must mention that his licence plate says Odd Bob. Ummm ok.
Verrrry brave.
The hubby drove us straight into this storm on our way home back to AZ. He drives with one hand. Me verrry scared. Him verrry brave.
And I'll just end this post by saying, she's sold! To the first person that saw her:) It was love at first sight I'm thinkin!!
So selling your house without knowing where in the sam heck you're going??
BRAVE!!
Congratulations!!! Your home was truly a one of a kind special home, so it's no surprise that it sold so quickly. I'm sorry to see it go though. I will miss looking at it on your blog. You better find another great one to impress us with! I'm sure you will and I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Wow! That is wonderful news! I am so excited to see what you are up to next!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. It really takes a load off your mind when your house sells quickly. Now, what's next? Can't wait to see. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you!! Now the fun begins ; ) xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful house for sure, but I bet the new owners will be a tiny bit disappointed once you move all your little lovelies out! I can't wait to see what you find out there just waiting to be rescued...p.s. does Wallace roll with it?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the home selling. That happened to us onetime the sign went up and SOLD!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see who/what you'll do next (referring to the house of course!)
Congrats! I'm so excited to see your next house adventure! Three Mango Seeds
ReplyDeleteWow! Selling your house without knowing where you are going is indeed, very brave! It's especially brave because it is such a wonderful house filled with character, beauty and charm. My fear would be that I wouldn't be able to find something that would make me quite as happy, but I can't wait to see what you do find. Congratulations to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised at all. I wish it was located in Colorado Springs, I would have JUMPED on it! Can't wait to see what you do next!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the pending sale! What a fun new adventure you'll have with a new home...and I'm sure it will be just as charming as this one. And Wow..how awesome about the young girl donating her hair. I lost my hair 10 years ago to Alopecia Areata...so I commend her bravery and kindness...lots of young kids with Alopecia and cancer need wigs and are very grateful to those that donate hair!
ReplyDeleteSomeone knew a special house when they saw it. Keep us posted on the hunt for a new one.
ReplyDeletecongrats! I am so jealous of the person that is buying your house!!! I have been wanting to move to AZ for so long now, and when I saw your house go up for sale I told the hubby, it's a sign!!! lol Can't wait to watch your next adventure!
ReplyDeleteMy 2 daughters (12 and 8) donate their hair to Locks of Love. Such a wonderful thing.
