A little detour.... :)

So yesterday I was out and about and supposed to be Christmas shopping, when my car suddenly made it's way here. Standard Restaurant Supply. Rio and Chase have been telling me how much I would love to look around in here, sooo I made a little stop:)

Ooooooh  my goodness!! White dishes, every shape and size:)

How perf are these little tinies for salt and pepper crocks!

And if you like colored dishes.....

Had to force myself to put these little cuties down.

 French onion soup anyone??

 Step. Away. Now. Dorie.

No reason, just want this chef jacket:) Okay, truth be told I'd love to be wearing it one night when Rio comes to dinner just to see her reaction. I'm pretty sure it'd go something like this...
Seriously. No. Mom. For reals. (eye's rolling, head shaking)

And honestly, who doesn't want a freaking cotton candy machine??!!
While I was staring longingly at this thing, I swear I heard something calling me from 2 aisles over...

Dorie!! Take me home!! You NEED me!! You LOVE me!! Come on!!

It was so weird how that thing totally jumped into my cart. And made it's way...

...... under my tree:) Merry Christmas to me!!

Standard Restaurant Supply in Mesa is open to the public, check it out!

Sugar Pine Cones.... :)

Oh hello gorgeous mammoth sized pine cones!!!  I've never in all my life seen the likes of these. And neither had my mom, so I'm not crazy. They're called Sugar Pine Cones, and they are HUGE! Some friends of ours (thank you Rigneys!) just happen to live in Lake Arrowhead, CA where these crazy pine cones live:) One weekend when my son was going for a visit, I begged him to bring me just a few. He filled his whole trunk. He loves his mama:)
So this Sunday, I decided to finally clean em up. I gave them a good hosing down first. Then I needed to deal with the sap:(
My friend Roseann told me to bake em. It melts off the sap and makes them all pretty and shiny:)

Cover a large baking sheet with foil. (and let's all have a gander at the complete lack of color in this pic! LB makes up for it in handsomeness though)

Bake the beauties at 220 degrees for about 20 minutes per side. Yeah, I could only fit 3 per sheet, they're THAT big!!
And boy oh boy! the house smelled AMAZING!!

Just look at them!

Soooo cool huh!?

What wasn't so cool? The stinkin sap that dripped onto the bottom of the oven.
Unbeknownst to me.
Until I turned on the oven the next day to roast a chicken.
And holy SMOKE! Literally:(

Sooo, the ole gal went back into the fridge and I went to the store to buy oven cleaner:(
The hubby ate leftover pizza and I ate popcorn.
Buy hey, my mantle sure looks lovely!!

Better late..... :)

Usually I have my Christmas goodies all out and done by the day after Thanksgiving. Not this year!!
Since the new little tiny is, well..tiny, I kept the decor in here pretty simple:)

Tiny house, tiny tree! It's a 7 ft. slim tree. It fit perfectly:)
How cute is that new pillow?!! It's white linen/burlap and has a hanging gift tag:)
I found it at Design Lab by DDG. It's the cutest little store in the same building as FOUND:)

I found this tree skirt there too:) So far LB has not put his "mark" on it!
He's adorable. Aaand really bad sometimes.

I put all my favorite things on my ole cabinet:) I just taped a piece of ribbon around that lamp shade to add a little red on it:) Those green little trees I bought at Wally (walmart) for $1 each. The boxwood wreath is from FOUND.

THIS is my fav thing this year:) The reindeer head from Tarjay:) It was $29.99!

And here is the shelf about my kitchen sink. A recipe for beer bread and my sweet little
Lori Mitchell figurines. I love their skinny legs!! FOUND carries them, but I'd call first for availability, they go fast!!

And this candle is my all time fav holiday smell ever!
Its Frasier Fir by Thymes. It's the best smell! It's not too overly piney or sweet.
And yep, FOUND has the entire line:)

So that's what goin on here at casa de tiny!
