This and that...and a cat:)

I spent this last weekend cleaning and organizing like a crazy lady. You'd do it to if you knew someone was coming over to take pics of your little tiny!! More on that later:)

In the midst of my cleaning frenzy, the hubby announced he was bored and needed a project. I LOVE when this happens:) You see, I've never really liked the way the round table in the living room looked. It always looked to me like it was the shorter, fatter sister to the end table- fighting for attention. Soooo.......

That sweet hubby o' mine just whipped me up this little cutie:)

 Yep. Just. Like. That:)

I love how simple and warm it is:)
Oh, and see those huge bugs back there on the floor by chair?

This huge grasshopper and beetle (I think?) were one of the first "expensive" gifts the hubby ever bought me. I think the grasshopper was $98. That was 20 years ago and probably half my grocery budget. Aaanyway I've treasured them ever since. And so did Little Bully when he was a puppy. He would lay next to them pretending he was sleeping while gnawing on them:( He would carry the little beetle all over the house, which is why the antennas are MIA:(

Such a rotten bully. Always into something!
 And things haven't changed.

SOMEBODY thought it would be fantastic to snack on some kitty litter ridden cat poop. This resulted in a very sicky bully. NOT fantastic.
I'm pretty sure he learned his lesson;) yeah riiiiiight.......

  4. I can't believe he just whipped up that table. You lucky girl! You've styled it beautifully.

Poor Bully. Good thing you have wood floors that can be cleaned easily. Dogs are so much trouble but worth it. :)

Now what about that photo shoot? A magazine?

  6. You should really go into business as s decoratot! You have such a good eye for space. You were absolutely right about the table and so lucky to have a bored busband with awsome skills! Poor little bully! Dogs are so weird! What on earth smelled so appetizing? I have a poochie like that. She has us constantly scratching our heads!

Do we really have to wait until next Tuesday for your announcement? Boo!

  9. The smaller one is not a beetle, but a cricket. Female crickets have the long "egg layer" like this one attached to their torso. Also only male crickets make noise, to lure female crickets :)

    1. Thank you Karen!! I clearly don't know my bugs!!

    2. No, you just have to grow up in a house in which we kept a certain male cricket, named Chester, for over six years lol.

  10. My dog has had stomach issues for the last two days and for the same reason!! He never learns though, he tries to beat me to the punch (or litter) every time. Good luck and sending a cuddle to little bully.

  12. Your little baby is so adorable even though he's so mischievous. We have two dogs who do that and now we're keeping them away from cat litters. You have a beautiful home interior by the way.

  13. I adore your bully photos and stories. My daughter refers to this snack as "kitty caramels" which my dog also enjoys. : ( Love your weekly posts! Your blog is one of my favorites.
