Best job ever... :)

I've never had a "real" job.
Nope. Never had a 8-5.

You see I got married a week after I turned 19,
and 10 months later baby Rio came along:)
and 2 1/2 years later baby Ryne:)

And thus began the craziest, most underpaid,
under appreciated, bestest, most amazing job I would have for the rest of my life.
I was fortunate to marry a man who would do anything
to keep me home with the babies, and I LOVED him for it.
We were young, poor and blissfully happy:)

I laugh when people say that Rio and I look like we could be sisters,
because honestly sometimes it feels like we are.
We literally grew up together:)
It's crazy, I was done having children at the ripe old age
of 22.

I'm crazy and creative.
I married crazy and creative.
And I gave birth to crazy and creative.
Twice.

And I was going to have grey hair early because of it.
Rio quit taking naps before the age of two in exchange for
coloring, painting and beading and talking on the phone.

I walked out to the garage one day to find Ryne had taken his
brand new bike completely apart, just to figure out
how it was made and put it all back together.
And you can imagine my freak out when he was riding a
motorcycle by the age of 5, and surfing by 7.

Well these two absolutely adorable babies of mine,
surprised me with the best Mother's Day ever.
I thought we were just going out to dinner, when the
hubby said "hey, we're a little early so let's go
check out the waves" and pulled into
our favorite park in Summerland.
I honestly had no idea!!

There were flowers, balloons, crab legs, dessert, wine,
candles and a beautifully set table.
Seriously all of my favorite things:)

But my favorite thing?
These two.
And the fact that this amazing job I have
is going to last a lifetime:)

  8. I like my life... I really do! With its ups and downs. But when I read your blog, man! I feel a little jealous. A nice kind of jealous :) but jealous. Happy mother's day to you! From a child-less / 8-5 person in the small country of Guatemala :)

  9. I am glad you shared that about yourself. I, too, stayed home with my 3 sons! I am happy but I had to get out of the house and spread my wings! Last son born when I was 40, so when he was in Middle school I went to work! Husband stayed home with the boys! We are still married after 28 years! Your children love you and to me that is the best gift ever! I can hardly wait to see the next house you buy in Carp!
