Spring Break... :)

Twelve years ago we met a girl that would change our lives:)
She came to us a foreign exchange student and left as our daughter.
We all seriously adore this girl.
We've continued to keep in touch, and
this week she came for a visit and brought along her
sweet little family.

I love this pic of my brother giving her a big ole hug
when he saw her last night:)

We've been so blessed to see this girl graduate high school, college,
become a doctor, get married and have the most
adorable little baby girl.

So I know I said I was going to post about the details of my bedroom,
but that all fell apart with this sweetness in the house:)

I get to spend my spring break with my family
planning meals...

 Cooking 'em up...

And chowing down to the sounds of lots and
lots of laughing:)
Me sooo happy!

Oh! and guess who turns the big 8 today??

Yep, this sweet lil adorable frenchman was born on March 25.
This guy too.... changed my life:)

  1. Well, you COULD do two posts this week. Loved seeing the happy family pix! However, I was thinking last night that today I would get a Dorie post - and bedroom details! Love your blog, just hate that it's only a weekly post!

Oh and that dish up there looks delish!

    Happy Birthday Little Bullie!

    1. Oh my goodness Reenie you made me laugh! My brother is as gorgeous inside as
he is outside. Sadly for you, he's happily married:( Seriously though? EVERY one of
my friends has had a crush on him!!
As for the recipe? hmmm. don't really have one. We just grabbed what veggies we had (brussel sprouts, broccoli, and green beans) and sprinkled them with olive oil, sea salt and pepper and roasted them at 400 degrees for about 15-20 min I think? Just watch them. Then we tossed them with some cooked bacon- YUM!

    2. Well darn!! Moma always said ~ it doesn't hurt to ask. ;)

Ok ~ that's how I make my roasted veggies ~ I've never added bacon though ~ gonna try it. Is there also Parm Cheese sprinkled on them?

      thx =)

  7. Yum! Maybe if I wrote my menu on the kitchen wall I'd be a more motivated cook! Also, Happy Birthday Little Bully!! I know all too well how those furry family members can get into your heart and make the world a better place!
